Forward and Lateral Velocity Tuners
Here’s our advice for tuning your robot:
Forward Velocity Tuner
The forward velocity tuner determines your robot’s maximum forward speed in order to accurately run your robot at its top speed. The robot will run forward for 40 inches, but this can be changed in the ForwardVelocityTuner.java file.
A longer distance is better as it allows the robot to reach higher speeds.
Lateral Velocity Tuner
The lateral velocity tuner determines your robot’s maximum strafe speed to accurately create paths. The robot will run in the x positive (left) direction for 40 inches, but this can be changed in the LateralVelocityTuner.java file.
Longer distances yield better results.
